NASFT MEMBER

Does your company qualify for NASFT Membership?

To exhibit at an NASFT Fancy Food Show, you must first become an NASFT Exhibiting Member if you are a U.S-based manufacturer, importer, broker or distributor. You can find out complete details by e-mailing us or by calling (212) 482-6440, ext. 119.

If your company is based outside the U.S., you can exhibit in the International Section without becoming a member. Call (212) 482-6440, ext. 120 for information.

NASFT Exhibiting Member classifications include manufacturers, importers and distributors of U.S. specialty foods, beverages, or confectionery, as well as agents, brokers, government agencies, trade associations, and foreign specialty food manufacturers.

To be considered for Exhibiting Membership, your organization must have been doing business for one year with the specialty food industry, provide at least nine retail references and submit your products to the NASFT Admissions Committee.

The Membership application process
To apply for Membership, applicants fill out an application, and pay a $100 non-refundable application fee. On this application you will be asked for financial and trade references, to name the NASFT as an additional insured on your insurance, and to submit samples of your product.

Your application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, which meets four times a year. Their recommendations are immediately forwarded to the Board of Directors for final decision. So depending on when in the meeting cycle we receive your application, your application's review might take a few months or a few weeks.

NASFT Members pay annual dues of $200, $400 or $600, depending on a company's sales volume. A full year's dues must be submitted with your application.

Buyers' Circle Membership Category
NASFT has opened a Buyers' Circle Member category to encourage retailers, chefs, caterers, catalogers, gift stores and restaurateurs to become members of the NASFT. Buyers' Circle Members are not eligible to exhibit.

Buyers' Circle Membership benefits include:

  • Education: seminars, workshops and publications
  • Training: tapes, videos and manuals
  • Research: tools and surveys for benchmarking
  • Networking: special industry wide events.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a Buyers' Circle Member, please use our contact form or call (212) 482-6440, ext. 140.
