Public Relations Tools & Opportunities
Learn how to take advantage of the on-site Press Office.
It is where journalists attending the Fancy Food Show pick up their badges, and visit throughout the show. They are eager to read the latest news about your companies.
Each exhibitor may drop off press kits or releases about their companies and products. This is a free service. The materials are set out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
PRODUCT SAMPLES
It is NASFT policy to allow one small sample only to be attached to each press kit, such as one tea bag or one wrapped cookie. Our goal is to have journalists walking the show floor and interacting with your company representatives.
BULLETIN BOARD
There will be a bulletin board in the Press Office where exhibitors may post information about special events during the show such as book signings.

Create your free online press kit at NASFT’s Virtual Press Office.
This is a free service the NASFT provides to Fancy Food Show exhibitors. The service is managed by our partner, Virtual Press Office, Inc. (VPO). VPO will create online press kits that allow for round-the-clock visibility and worldwide distribution to influential specialty food industry media and analysts.
Why Participate?
This is a simple way to get news out about your company. Just send your press releases and product information via e-mail and VPO staff will take care of the rest.
THE PRESS OFFICE SERVICE INCLUDES:
- Creation of online press kit.
- Upload of press materials (releases, company backgrounder, images, etc.).
- Distribution to journalists.
- PR contact listing.
- Link to company website.
GETTING STARTED:
- Email up to six documents (releases, company backgrounders, images, product information, etc.) as attachments to files@vpoinc.com.
- Indicate this is for the Fancy Food Show site.
- Include PR contact and Company Website.
- Preferred formats: WORD, PDF, HTML and JPEG. Please keep each file under 1MB.
DEADLINE:
For guaranteed posting, materials must be filed the Monday prior to the Fancy Food Show. The VPO team will make every effort to post releases throughout the show.
ALERT THE MEDIA:
Direct journalists to the Fancy Food Show Virtual Press Office. The upcoming show's Press Releases will appear at the following link: www.specialtyfood.com/exhibitornews
POST-SHOW REPORT:
The Virtual Press Office sends exhibitors a free measurement report listing the names and publications of journalists who viewed your press materials.

3 Ways to Add a Badge to Your Website
Create a button that links to the Fancy Food Show Website
You can do this by copying the embed code to the right of each badge image and pasting it into the HTML Source editor of your website.
Create a button that links to a different location:
You will follow the same directions mentioned in number 1, but you should replace the part of the code that reads
"http://www.specialtyfood.com/fancy-food-show/" target="_blank"
to read "http://www.yoursite.com"
Create an image button that does not link:
Select the "Download File" link that is located below each badge image to download the image file. You can then upload this image to your website. If you would like to link this image to specialtyfood.com, follow the embed code instructions in number 1 & 2, but replace the image file location with the location of the image on your website.
