As people continue being more environmentally friendly, we find new innovative ideas arising. “Light weighting” is now a new term used in packaging to analyze the weight of the product and find out different ways to reduce the package that contains the product. In addition to light weighting, we see some products using different compostable plastics and materials with less pollution becoming more available.

The Rise of Food Trucks: Where Are They All Coming From?

My mom raised me to call them “roach coaches,” or the food trucks that served greasy, unidentifiable and questionable food that usually made me sick for the next 24 hours. So I was extremely surprised to see the sudden rise of food trucks all over the nation, including San Luis Obispo. What surprised me even more was that the reviews of these trucks compared them to four star restaurants—dubbing them “gourmet on the go.” Googling “food trucks” gives you 14,300,000 results. I can’t even count the number of sites that are dedicated to locating or tracking food trucks across the country.
