NASFT Membership

FoodEx • Tokyo • March 6 -9, 2012

The largest food and beverage tradeshow in Asia, FoodEx Japan has been a highly successful annual trade event since its debut in 1976 serving not only Japan’s $600 billion food market but many lucrative Asian markets.

In 2010, 2,510 companies from 65 countries exhibited at FoodEx and over 73,500 trade professionals, including key decision makers from restaurants, supermarkets, wholesalers, grocery stores, foodservice, hospitality, fast food chains, convenience stores as well as distributors, agents and brokers attended the show.

With a food self-sufficiency rate of only 39%, Japan is one of the most import-dependent markets in the world. Each year, Japan imports $9.2 billion worth of food products from the U.S.
