Jenny Gille and Carrie Liebhauser were two stay-at-home Moms who met at their children’s school. Using a family recipe, they teamed up and founded Nutorious Nut Confections. Little did they know at the time that their simple creations made in their kitchens in Green Bay, Wisc., would become a full line of sought-after snacks.

Coventional snack foods are notoriously unhealthy, but Nutorious products offer a wholesome alternative. “Other snacks have ingredients that people can’t identify,” says Gille. “People like that they can find our ingredients right in their pantry.” The nut confections are not only all natural, but also low in sodium and packed with Omega-3. The sofiTM-winning Cranberry Orango Tango flavor is a homemade blend of walnuts, pecans, almonds and dried cranberries in a delicate orange confection. “It spans all ages,” explains Gille. “Kids love it, so moms put it in their lunchboxes. Foodies use it to top off salads or yogurt. It’s excellent for wine and cheese parties.” The product’s sweet and salty flavor also makes it valuable for cross-merchandising. “The more people encounter it, the more uses they find for it,” she notes.

As a sofi Finalist for multiple products over the past three years, Nutorious has a record of making crowd-pleasing, healthful and innovative snacks. The company takes pride in the products being “innocently addictive” and challenges anyone to try just one.
