John Roberts led the Specialty Food Association from 1989 – 2006. Under John’s direction, the Association took control of the Fancy Food Shows, developed Specialty Food Magazine and launched educational programs to benefit members and the industry.

Co-founders Giorgio DeLuca, Joel Dean and Jack Ceglic redefined specialty food in the 1970s and 1980s through their Soho institution, Dean & DeLuca. With an industrial design complemented by the best foods in the world, the store inspired thousands of specialty food retailers and gave birth to a food brand that encompasses the globe.
