The Kroger Co. acquired three retail condominium units in New York City for $20.6 million, including the home of Murray's Cheese and Amy's Bread. The 22,000-square-foot building is the flagship store for Murray's, which it has occupied since 2004. Murray's has an agreement with Kroger to operate 350 kiosks in Kroger stores nationwide.

Murray's Cheese proprietor Rob Kaufelt owned the location. Kaufelt took over Murray's in 1993, making it into a $250 million national enterprise. Kaufelt also opened a wine bar near the location in 2012, reports The Real DealFull Story
