A class action lawsuit has been filed against Blue Diamond Growers, alleging the company misrepresented its almond milk products. According to plaintiff Cynthia Cardarelli Painter, the company represented Almond Breeze as nutritionally equivalent to dairy milk. However, the almond milk lacks essential nutrients and vitamins. The lawsuit maintains that this constitutes fraud and negligent misrepresentation.

The plaintiff seeks trial by jury, damages, interest, disgorgement of ill-gotten profits, restitution, and more. The case has been moved to U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, reports Legal NewslineFull Story
