Livestream Coverage Returns to Fancy Food Show

Specialty Food Association

The Specialty Food Association has teamed up with The Food Institute, a trusted source for industry news, data, and trends, to provide live event coverage at the Winter Fancy Food Show.

SFA first partnered with FI on this pilot broadcast project at the Summer 2022 Fancy Food Show to facilitate an interactive, multi-dimensional experience for both in-person and virtual audiences. Live coverage from the Show floor will include interviews with SFA staff, exhibitors, buyers, industry insiders, trendspotters, 2023 Leadership Award winners, and more. It will take place Sunday, January 15 and Monday, January 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Tuesday, January 17 from 12 to 1 p.m.

“We’re so pleased to collaborate again with a trusted source like The Food Institute to expand our coverage of the Winter Show to showcase the products, trends, and people that make this a must-see event,” said Denise Purcell, SFA’s vice president, resource development.

The on-site coverage team will be anchored by Susan Choi, FI’s director of digital media, and a veteran TV journalist whose resume includes stints at ABC News and NBC News. FI will also have a team of on-the-ground reporters and analysts conducting live interviews from different locations on the Show floor and providing commentary on the latest trends that could shape the specialty food industry in the months and years ahead.

“We had great audience feedback from the pilot broadcast at the 2022 Summer Fancy Food Show,” said FI CEO Brian Choi. “We’re happy to be working with SFA once again to make the 2023 Winter Show livestream even better—with more live event coverage, more insightful content, and greater interactivity with both virtual and in-person audiences.”

Attendees can experience the livestream via specialtyfood.com, the Association’s Fancy Food Show app and SFA Feed app, and on SFA’s YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook platforms. In-person attendees can also visit the SFA Media Center on the Show floor. Participants can ask questions and leave comments both in-person and virtually.
