Schnucks announced Wednesday that Eatwell Market by Schnucks in Chesterfield, Missouri, will open in Spring 2023. Along with local offerings, the store will emphasize natural and organic foods as well as community events that support customers on their wellness journey, according to the retailer.

“We are excited to introduce Eatwell Market by Schnucks to customers in our hometown area,” said Schnucks Executive VP of supermarkets Ted Schnuck, in a statement. “Our company’s mission is to nourish people’s lives, and we will build on that by bringing customers a store where they can discover new, local items while staying focused on health and wellness.”

Eatwell Market will carry thousands of natural and organic items. The produce department will focus on organically-grown offerings in addition to conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables. The store’s meat department will specialize in products raised without added antibiotics or growth hormones. Additional amenities will include bulk foods such as nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and grains, as well as freshly ground nut butters and a made-to-order drink area specializing in smoothies, coffee, tea, beer, and wine.

“At Eatwell Market we will strive to offer customers the best-tasting food made from the best ingredients,” Schnuck added. “We look forward to soon welcoming shoppers to this location where our goal will be to bring them a ‘beyond the expected’ shopping experience.”

This location will be the second store to operate under the Eatwell Market banner, joining the Columbia, Missouri location which opened in 2020. The store will employ 105 associates.

The store will offer both Schnucks Delivers and curbside pickup through the company’s partnership with Instacart.
