Smart Flour Foods will use Non-GMO Project verification for its pizza crusts.

The company's crusts are made with a blend of gluten-free sorghum, amaranth, and teff. They are certified gluten-free, vegan, soy-free, and kosher, and are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, hormones, nitrates, and nitrites.

Smart Flour Foods has 10 retail products, which are available in Whole Foods Market, Kroger, Sprouts Farmers Market, and other retailers across the U.S. It recently released a larger, family-size lineup with classic flavors and a new Italian sausage variety. The company is also experiencing growth in the restaurant industry, with its crusts in use at chains such as Mellow Mushroom, Pie Five, and The Original Pancake House.
