Unilever will acquire specialty condiment maker Sir Kensington's, which manufactures non-GMO mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, and vegan mayo, for an undisclosed amount. Sir Kensington's products can be found in Whole Foods Markets nationwide, as well as in restaurants such as Sweetgreen and Bareburger. The deal will enhance Unilever's portfolio of sustainable products and help Sir Kensington's expand its distribution.

The move by Unilever, which earlier this year fended off a $143 billion takeover by Kraft Heinz Company, seems to indicate a refocus on its food portfolio and on condiments in particular, reports The New York Times. Full Story
