The Specialty Food Association has also been implementing a comprehensive six-month marketing campaign to increase attendance at the show.

Over 1000+ press attend the Summer Show every year.  We have numerous opportunities and tools to help you leverage the press onsite and get your Company/product message in front of them.

  • Write your press releases ahead of the show!
    • Use the template as a starting point to announce that you’ll be at the show
  • Upload your press releases (up to 3) to the Virtual Press Office
  • Utilize the Press List
    • The show press list is updated every 2 weeks and can be found here
      1. This list consists of the press who have opted in to receiving exhibitor emails
    • Dos & Don’ts for using the press list:
      1. DO:
        • Send your press release to the press list
        • Follow up with personal emails to see if they are interested in visiting your booth or need additional information
      2. DON'T:
        • Send large files or attachments (paste your press release into the email and use only low res images)
        • Email press every day
  • Create your Press Kit
    • Press Kits come in many shapes and sizes
      1. Folders with multiple press releases, sell sheets and information
      2. Press Release only
      3. Postcard with information
    • No matter what format you choose, make sure to include:
      1. Company Name
      2. Contact information where press can reach you (email and phone)
      3. Website
      4. Booth #
  • Visit the Press Office at the Show
    • PR Team:

    • Opportunities in the press office:
      1. Drop off your press kits for press to pick up during the show
        • 50 spread out over 3 days
        • Space is first come, first serve
      2. Schedule a 5-minute appointment with a PR team member on Saturday, June 24th to showcase your newest products
        • The more the PR Team knows about your product/company the easier it is for us to communicate about you to the press!
      3. Submit your product information form to the PR Team
        • This form will give the PR Team, as well as the Trends team, early information to help include your product in their round ups and press outreach
          • Note: Submission does not guarantee press coverage

On-site Press Office at the Summer Fancy Food Show

This is where journalists covering the Fancy Food Show from top media in the U.S. and worldwide pick up their badges, and visit throughout the show. They are eager to read the latest news about exhibitors. Exhibitor may drop off press kits or releases on a first-come, first-served basis. Suggested quantity: 50.

Press Office Location: Room 1C04 Javits Center

Press Materials Drop-off Times

  • Saturday, June 24: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 25: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Monday, June 26: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 27: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Exhibitors may stop by the press office to replenish materials. Please note: Exhibitors and their public relations consultants are not permitted to remain in the Press Office; it is for journalists only.

Product Samples: No product samples are permitted in the press office.

Bulletin Board: Exhibitors may post information about press events/interview opportunities at their booths during show hours, including book signings or cooking demonstrations
