Doug Renfro and Becky Renfro Borbolla
Doug Renfro, President, and Becky Renfro Borbolla, Senior Vice President, are two thirds of the cousin team behind Renfro Foods, Inc.(Opens in a new window), a third-generation, family-owned company founded in 1940 and beloved for its line of Mrs. Renfro’s salsas, sauces, and chow chows. Doug got his start early, working summers at the factory from sixth grade through high school and returning full-time in 1992 after a stint in the corporate world. Becky joined the business in 1985 after a decade in the oil and gas industry, jumping at the chance when her father invited her in. “Best decision I ever made,” she says. James, also Senior Vice President, has been a part of the company since 1980 - now overseeing all production, shipping and receiving.
Together, Doug and Becky and James have grown Renfro Foods into an internationally recognized brand while honoring its Texas roots and legacy. Doug and Becky are longtime, passionate members of the Specialty Food Association—Doug for over 20 years, and Becky for more than 30. Becky has served as Chair of the Board twice and contributed to numerous committees, including Membership, Distributor Council, and Governance, while Doug has shared his expertise through SFA panels, classes, and events. For both, the heart of the industry lies in its people: the friendships, collaborations, and shared love of discovering new flavors.
As they look ahead, the Renfro cousins remain focused on what they do best—making more salsa and continuing to grow Renfro Foods’ global footprint. Their dedication, warmth, and leadership have made them enduring figures in the specialty food community.
