Julie Smolyansky

Julie Smolyansky is President and CEO of Lifeway Foods, the nation’s leading producer of kefir and a pioneering force in probiotic and functional nutrition. She assumed leadership of the company in 2002 at age 27, becoming the youngest female CEO of a publicly traded company at the time. 

Under Julie’s leadership, Lifeway has grown from a regional business into a global wellness brand, expanding distribution across the U.S. and international markets while bringing kefir into the mainstream American diet. She has led the company through sustained growth, category innovation, and expanded consumer education around gut health, immunity, and the microbiome.
