Rina Perrault

Rina Perrault is the Vice President of Strategy & Sustainability at Sun World International, a global leader in premium fruit genetics. With a background in biology and private equity, Rina took an unexpected path into the food industry, but one that felt like the perfect intersection of science, strategy, and purpose. 

“What drew me in was the chance to contribute to something meaningful,” she says. “Sun World’s varieties produce more with less—higher yields, fewer inputs, and improved quality. That’s the kind of innovation we need to feed a growing population sustainably.” 

An SFA member since 2023, Rina is energized by the people who make the industry tick. “Even with incredible resumes, folks in this industry are approachable and grounded. That shared sense of purpose makes the work human and the partnerships lasting.” 

Rina is now helping lead Sun World’s ambitious expansion—the brand is exploring new crops, new global markets, and deeper sustainability.
