Sarabjit Sawhney
Sarabjit Sawhney is the Chief Operating Officer of South Amboy Kitchen, a dynamic culinary hub in New Jersey dedicated to empowering food entrepreneurs from all backgrounds. His journey in food began early, working alongside his father and brother in the family’s catering and beverage business sparked a lifelong passion for hospitality, community, and culinary creativity.
Over the years, Sarabjit has worked with talented chefs, pursued a degree in Hotel and Business Management, and gained culinary training, all of which he brings to his leadership at South Amboy Kitchen. A proud Specialty Food Association member for five years, he serves on the Mentorship Council, Membership Council, and the Preparedness Committee.
“What I love most about the food industry is its power to connect people,” he says. “Our kitchen is more than a facility—it’s a place where passion meets purpose.” Today, Sarabjit continues to build a supportive, inclusive space where aspiring makers can turn their culinary dreams into thriving businesses.
