Graeter’s is the last family-owned, authentic small-batch ice cream maker still dedicated to the French Pot Process. Passionate artisans pour and swirl the best ingredients into each spinning, 2.5-gallon French Pot freezer. The resulting ice cream is so dense and rich, due to the absence of air, it must be removed by hand with a paddle. That’s how Graeter’s has been hand-crafting ice cream since 1870

Kentucky bourbon flavored ice cream? Check. Buttery, roasted, salty pecan halves? Check. Our signature dark chocolate chips? Check. Three complex flavors that exist in perfect harmony. Boldly flavored, kid safe. The Graeter family has a special passion to make the best ice cream possible. We handcraft our ice cream 2 gallons at a time in old-fashioned French Pot freezers, the same way we did 145 years ago. It’s just one of the reasons Graeter’s turns out richer and creamier with a lot less air than other ice creams. Virtually none, in fact. Speaking of chocolate chips, we make those ourselves too. Peter’s Lenoir dark chocolate is melted with organic, non-GMO soy oil and hand-poured into the French Pot while the ice cream freezes. As it hardens, an ice cream artisan breaks up the chocolate shell with a paddle. That’s why our chocolate chips are so unlike any other. That’s why they stay soft, even in the freezer. That’s why they turn our so big, thick and rich. We hope you enjoy this newest edition to our flavor lineup as much as we enjoyed making it.
