Papalote Salsa
Brothers Victor and Miguel Escobedo opened Papalote Mexican Grill in San Francisco in 1999. Papalote has only one house salsa which has been recognized by the community as one of the best in the Mission District. The salsa helped the brothers defeat Bobby Flay in the Burrito episode of his Flay’s show Throwdown! With Bobby Flay. Flay recognized that it was “the secret weapon.” Vegan, Gluten Free, and 100% Natural, Papalote shelf-stable salsas are made in small batched using real roasted tomato (not paste or sauce) fresh onion and fresh garlic. With no water, sugar or vinegar added.
