Manicaretti has been making friends across the table since 1989. We are a wholesaler selling to restaurants, specialty retailers, and distributors throughout the United States. Founded by tastemaker and cookbook author Rolando Beramendi, Manicaretti imports only the finest artisanal pantry products from Italy, working directly with Italian artisans who take extreme pride in representing the culinary traditions of their regions.
Manicaretti has always been at the forefront of the modern food movement, introducing Americans to: Farro for the first time; award-winning, estate-bottled extra virgin olive oils (and the tradition of Olio Nuovo); a vast array of regional pasta shapes (over 100!) from Rustichella d'Abruzzo; the original Agrumato® citrus olive oil, a staple in many restaurant kitchens; and heritage wheat pasta before it was a trend. We continue to expand our portfolio to meet the current culinary tastes of consumers and to educate our customers about the authentic flavors of Italy.
Through Friends of Manicaretti, we also offer an expanded selection of exceptional products made by artisan producers from around the world (Spain, France, Argentina, and more).
