NEW YORK, NY (June 2025) — After six years of R&D in Sweden and select Food Service availability, Stockeld Dreamery, Inc has launched into New York City retail this spring — and just two months in, the results are impressive.

The brand’s cultured, dairy-free cheese is now in 200+ stores across the NYC metro area — doubling its initial goal — and delivering 6.75 units per store per week across an avg of 2 SKU’s in the top 50 accounts, ahead of the plant-based category average.

“We spent 6 years in a lab in Sweden developing something different and new. Our early NYC market impact, in what is a tired category, gives us the confidence that we are onto something special as we prepare to launch with some exciting plant-forward partners later this year.” says founder Sorosh Tavakoli.

Stockeld’s flagship products — Cultured Cream Cheese with live probiotics and Cultured Cheese Slices that actually melts — are made from fermented legumes and gaining traction thanks to standout taste and texture, clean labels, and a lot of community activity.

Chefs across New York City have been amazed by the functionality and taste of Stockeld’s cheeses after spending years either dealing with bland oil & starch based products or overly fermented nut-cheeses. “This is truly one of the best melting non-dairy cheeses I've worked with" says Andy D'Amico, Chef at 5 Napkin Burger.

To build awareness for their unique offerings, the company has invested in on-the-ground brand support with in-store samplings and staff training as well as content, signage, and local events ranging from the 30,000 person Vegandale festival to intimate Vegan Soirees.

Now the Stockholm-born brand is heading to the Summer Fancy Food Show, bringing a taste of what’s next — to Booth #5856.
