Burlap & Barrel is coming into 2026 powered by several highpoints in their stellar prior year, which included incredibly aggressive tariffs: over 1,000,000 pounds of spices sourced since 2016, with increased purchasing by 35%; over 100,000 orders shipped, the launch of seven Classics Reinvented blends, three heirloom Mexican chili powders, and 13 collaborations.
On Tuesday, January 13th from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Ori Zohar, co-founder of Burlap & Barrel, will guide visitors through a special program: Burlap & Barrel: A World of Flavor, One Farm at a Time, which will transport visitors to a partner spice farm, and have a variety of unique and interesting spices for visitors to smell, taste, and touch. The demo takes place at Discovery Point (booth 4631) and is part of culinary historian Sarah Lohman’s Global Flavors pod.
“We get to create deep and interesting spice experiences at the Winter FancyFaire - test batches of the spices and spice blends that are in development, as well as hands-on experiences that bring you all the way back to the spice farm,” said Zohar. “We have a lot to celebrate in 2026, including our 10th anniversary. Our team can’t wait to get to the show and reconnect with the specialty food industry.”
