Kingston Creamery Celebrates Wins at 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest

Cambria, WI (March 19, 2026) – Kingston Creamery, the award-winning Wisconsin creamery known for its artisanal and sustainable cheeses, earned top honors at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest (WCCC) held March 3–5 in Madison, Wisconsin. Recognized as one of the most prestigious global cheese competitions, the WCCC evaluates cheeses on taste, texture, appearance, and technical mastery, making it the ultimate test for cheesemakers seeking to be called “the best in the world.”

Kingston Creamery’s Goat Blue, a distinctive Goat Blue Cheese, achieved a Second Place award in the highly competitive Semi-Soft (Semi-Hard) Goat’s Milk Cheese category, solidifying its reputation for complex flavor and artisanal quality.

The creamery also celebrated a unique collaborative success. Teaming up with Maple Leaf Cheese Company, under the creative label “Ewe’re My Boy Blue,” the team won Best in Class along with a Second Place finish, highlighting the power of collaboration and creativity in crafting world-class cheeses. The milk for Ewe’re My Boy Blue comes from Maple Leaf’s sheep flock, is produced by Kingston Creamery's cheesemaking team and is sold and marketed under Kingston Creamery’s Bountiful Blue label. Bountiful Blue is available on-line and through select retail grocery stores.

The Kingston Creamery team’s collaboration with Maple Leaf also earned 4th, and 6th place finishes in the Sheep’s Milk Blue Mold Cheese category, demonstrating the remarkable quality of Wisconsin’s artisanal sheep’s milk cheeses.

“Competing at the WCCC is always a highlight of the year for cheesemakers,” said Nelson Schrock, Kingston Creamery General Manager. “To see our cheeses recognized on a world stage, both individually and through our partnership with Maple Leaf, reflects the dedication, craftsmanship, and passion of everyone on our cheesemaking team.”
