LEVEL 3 – STAND 2912 – ITALY

New York, June 2025Filiera Madeo, the Calabrian agri-food excellence, will participate for the first time in the Fancy Food Show in New York, where it will preview its 'Nduja Nobile, an innovative, high-quality version of the famous Calabrian spreadable salami, in its complete range for the US market. With its participation in the US event, Filiera Madeo also marks a historic milestone: it is the first Calabrian company to officially export 'nduja to the United States, contributing to the spread of authentic Italian gastronomic culture around the world and paving the way for other Italian agri-food companies to enter the American market.

Arriving in the United States with one of the most iconic products of our culinary tradition,” commented Anna Madeo, CEO of the family business, "represents a crucial step for Madeo and recognition of the value we build every day with dedication and passion, bringing not only our products but all the excellence of Southern Italy beyond national borders and our continent. We are happy that many other companies in our sector are following in our footsteps, and we are proud to have been the first to pave the way. Our products are stronger than tariffs and prejudices and have a unique characteristic: they are irreplaceable. The next step will be to bring our Suino Nero ham to America, a one-of-a-kind product in which we strongly believe."

Originally a poor product, made from the less noble parts of the pig and enriched with the characteristic Calabrian red pepper, 'nduja is now a gastronomic symbol of the tradition of southern Italy. With an artisanal process that involves stuffing into natural casings, hand-tying, and a long maturation period, Madeo 'nduja stands out for its quality, authenticity, and respect for its origins. The “Nobile” is therefore Madeo's unique reinterpretation: a lighter and more refined recipe, produced entirely within its own agri-food chain, with selected pork and fresh chili peppers in sauce, grown and processed in-house. The result is a gluten-free and lactose-free product, available in all formats—from ready-to-use jars to practical squeeze tubes—ideal for food service professionals and gourmet consumers.

ABOUT MADEO - Founded 40 years ago as a small pig farm in the hills of the Greek Sila, it has become one of Calabria's leading industrial companies, known in Italy and abroad (it exports to over 25 countries worldwide) to produce high-quality cured meats produced within a 100% local and integrated supply chain system. Today, it is a group with a turnover of almost €30 million, with more than 150 direct employees and collaborators. The company consists of four pig farms and three processing plants, four production lines, over 100 hectares of fields, more than 300,000 Calabrian chili pepper plants, and organic olive groves. An intelligent and sustainable ecosystem centered around the Calabrian Black Pig.

With its entry as a leading player in the American market, Filiera Madeo, the only Italian supply chain for 100% pure Black Pig production, continues its mission to bring traditional flavors, and in particular authentic Calabria, to the world.
