DURHAM, N.C. September 15, 2025 – Seal the Seasons, an emerging brand in the frozen fruit category, is partnering with Publix Supermarkets to distribute two USDA Certified Organic Frozen Fruit Innovation Items: Organic Blue Spirulina Tropical Blend Smoothie Kit and Organic Super Greens Cleanse Smoothie Kit.
Seal the Seasons is most known for their award-winning locally grown, locally frozen, and locally sold frozen fruit, such as frozen Organic Maine Wild Blueberries and Organic California Sliced Peaches.
Publix Supermarkets, the leading conventional grocery store in the Southeast has over 1400+ stores fueling their mission to be the premier quality food retailer in the world, achieved by satisfying customers better than anyone else and providing a superior shopping experience.1
These two like-minded and missioned organizations have entered a distribution partnership which will see frozen Seal the Seasons Superfood Smoothie Kits, led by the markleading2 Blue Spirulina Tropical Blend Smoothie Kit, stocked chainwide across most of Publix’s 1400 stores spanning Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina.
The 32 oz Certified Organic Blue Spirulina Tropical Blend Smoothie Kit fills a product gap not currently served by current products in the market. Blue Spirulina Smoothies have been frequently demanded by consumers, powered by popular internet mentions such as Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short N’ Sweet” smoothie collaboration with Erewhon and an array of blue smoothie bowls featured on TikTok and Instagram.
By pairing USDA certified organic frozen freestone peach slices from South Carolina and California family farms, premium tropical fruits and select Superfood ingredients in these frozen Smoothie Kits, Seal the Seasons continues to advance the same mission of supporting American family farms and sourcing ingredients with a lower carbon footprint than overseas fruit products.
“SPINS Data from the first nine months of distribution showed Blue Spirulina Tropical Blend was the fastest selling new item within the smoothie kit segment”, said Co-Founder & CEO Patrick Mateer, “We also used SPINS data to analyze consumer trends at Publix and found how strongly certified organic has resonated in the branded segment. Data led us to launching more certified organic product with a statement retailer like Publix”.
Seal the Seasons continues their leadership in the branded Smoothie Kit subcategory, with all four in-market smoothie kit UPCs ranking in the top ten for dollars per store per week over all 4, 12, 24 and 52 week periods in the Total US FOOD channel. Over in Total US Natural Enhanced Channel, Seal the Seasons four 24oz NonGMO SKUs all rank in the top five dollar velocities per store per week according to SPINS 4 and 12 week reports.
The company currently has 50+ unique local SKUs available – supporting over 70+ farms and utilizing more than 10 freezing and packing sites across the United States.
