Summer Fancy Food will see the debut of Somerdale’s new, deliciously decadent, Truffler Cheddar
Somerdale International will be showcasing an enhanced range of superb tasting cheeses ideal for the Holiday Season at Summer Fancy Food in New York City. This will include a first look at, and taste of, Somerdale’s new Truffler Cheddar.
Truffler Cheddar is a deliciously decadent cheese that delivers a taste sensation by infusing moreish Mature English Cheddar with the rich, intense umami flavour of Black Summer Truffles. Specifically created for the US market, Truffler Cheddar is available in a black waxed 4.4IIb round with an eye-catching silver and gold hand drawn label which is sure to provide real theatre to any deli cabinet cheese display. While Truffler will also be available in a convenient but no less stunning 5.3oz pre-pack format.
Visitors to the Somerdale booth (# 138) will not only have the opportunity to sample Truffler Cheddar but also the full range of fresh and exciting celebratory cheeses developed by Somerdale especially for the Holiday Season. These will include:
Somerdale Champagne Cheddar: A premium classic English Cheddar infused with the subtle fruitiness of Champagne. This complex cheese has a luxuriously creamy texture and wonderful fruity notes and is perfect for any celebration or that special Holiday cheeseboard.
Somerdale ‘Festive Stars & Trees’: Fun and festive, Somerdale’s red, green and white waxed Stars & Trees are sure to be the ideal centre piece for any Christmas cheese board.
Somerdale Wensleydale & Cranberries: A Holiday cheeseboard classic which blends plump, juicy cranberries with authentic English Wensleydale to create a great tasting sweet and juicy cheese. Wensleydale & Cranberries makes for a wonderful dessert cheese when served with sweetened or ginger crackers. It’s also fantastic when crumbled over a salad.
The Somerdale booth will also feature its unparalleled selection of the very best premium specialty British cheese. This includes classic British cheeses such as the finest Farmhouse Cheddars, including the iconic Barber’s 1833 Vintage Reserve Cheddar made by the world’s oldest surviving Cheddar-makers; the recently launched 1057 Scottish Cheddar with its robust and mature flavour profile; the wonderfully rich iconic blue-veined Stilton, the King of British Cheese, together with a growing range of Somerdale tastebud tantalising blended cheeses.
