Women-Founded Mixer Brand Celebrates Taste and Design Wins After a Year of Rebuilding

Los Angeles, CA — This Girl Walks Into a Bar®, the women-founded, Los Angeles-based brand known for its organic, junk-free cocktail and mocktail mixers, is starting 2026 on a high note after sweeping the 2026 Pr%f Awards with multiple top honors for both taste and packaging design.

At this year’s competition, the brand received:

  • Double Gold (Taste & Design) for its Organic Margarita Mix
  • Double Gold (Taste & Design) for its Organic Bloody Mary Mix — also awarded Best in Show
  • Gold (Taste) for its Organic Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix
  • Double Gold (Design) for its Organic Pineapple Mint Mojito Mix

The Proof Awards recognize excellence in flavor, quality, and branding across the beverage industry, with each entry evaluated on a rigorous 100-point scale.

“We have incredible, discerning judges,” said Michele Tell, Executive Director of the Proof Awards. “Entries are judged against a possible 100 points, not against each other, and not everyone wins a medal at the Proof Awards.”

“These awards mean everything to us,” said co-founders and sisters Jordan Catapano and Jocelyn Dunn. “Our recipes were built behind the bar and refined over years of real-world use, and our packaging was designed to reflect the same clean, premium standards as what’s inside the bottle. To be recognized for both taste and design—especially earning Best in Show—is incredibly validating.”

The wins come after a challenging year for the company. In early 2025, This Girl Walks Into a Bar was directly impacted by the devastating Palisades Fires, which destroyed their original operations and inventory. Rather than pause, the sisters rebuilt—leaning on their community, expanding retail partnerships, and continuing to scale their clean, non-alcoholic mixer line nationwide.

“2025 was about resilience,” said Catapano. “2026 is about momentum. These awards feel like a powerful reminder of why we started—and where we’re headed.”
