NEW YORK, NY - June 23, 2025 -- Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish announced that they will exhibit Par Baked Frozen Bagels, their first retail product, at the 2025 Summer Fancy Food Show (June 29-July 1). The New York City bagel artisans bring their iconic bagels to homes in a new ready-to-bake experience, with consumers finishing the partially baked bagels at home. The team is excited to welcome Marc Forgione, founder of Respect Hospitality and chef/owner of Forgione and Peasant, as a partner and ambassador.
Zucker's Plain, Sesame and Everything bagels launched earlier this year at online retailers Fresh Direct and Goldbelly. Tri-state retailers include select ShopRite stores, Fairway, Citarella, Butterfield Market, DeCicco & Sons, Westside Market, Brooklyn Fare and many other retailers.
Zucker's old school baking process begins with the shop's beloved bagel recipe, a favorite in NYC for nearly twenty years. Using unbromated, unbleached flours, NYC water and a hint of pure malt syrup, their legendary bagel bakers kettle boil, generously seed and partially bake bagels in their rotating ovens, starting on burlap-covered boards and then flipping onto stone slabs. The bagels are then frozen to lock in their freshness. At home, consumers become the baker with minimal fuss: first they refresh the frozen bagels with water, and then finish baking in an oven or air fryer for 9-14 minutes.
The result: a golden brown bagel on the outside with a dense, chewy inside that you can enjoy warm out of the oven, or even the next day. The team is excited to welcome Marc Forgione, founder of Respect Hospitality and chef/owner of Forgione and Peasant, as a partner and ambassador. Marc Forgione is a longtime Zucker's bagel lover and neighbor, who will help showcase how to finish baking at home to perfection, and continue to collaboration with Zucker’s on menu items at their seven Manhattan shops.
