The brand reinventing a stale category celebrates a major sales milestone and newly earned GFCO certification as it heads to the Javits Center for buyers.
NEW YORK, NY — May 28, 2026 — Boostcous, the high-protein, high-fiber couscous made from just three real-food ingredients, today announced it has sold more than 50,000 boxes, a milestone that signals fast-growing demand for better-for-you pantry staples. The brand will showcase its products at the 2026 Summer Fancy Food Show, June 28 to 30 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, at Booth 7103B-M.
Couscous has sat untouched on grocery shelves for decades, a refined-wheat carb that had not meaningfully evolved in a generation. Boostcous set out to change that, creating what it calls the world’s first “healthy couscous.” Made from pea, chickpea, and lentil, each serving delivers 18g of protein and 11g of fiber, cooks in about five minutes, and is free of the top nine allergens. It is a plant-based, vegan reinvention of a tired category, built for consumers who want macros that work as hard as they do.
The 50,000-box milestone arrives alongside a wave of momentum for the brand, which was recently featured by Entrepreneur for building a multi-million-dollar business. Boostcous has also just earned GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization) certification, adding to its existing Non-GMO Project Verified and Kosher (COR) certifications, a trio that gives grocery buyers confidence the product meets the standards their shoppers increasingly demand.
“Couscous is one of the last pantry staples nobody had bothered to fix. It was stale, both literally and as a category,” said Bar Bruhis, Co-Founder and CEO of Boostcous. “We built the world’s first healthy couscous to change that. Hitting 50,000 boxes tells us shoppers were ready for a carb that actually fuels them, with the protein, fiber, and clean-label certifications today’s grocery shoppers are looking for.”
Boostcous sources its beans and flour from a Non-GMO Project farm in the USA and is certified gluten-free under the GFCO program. The product is shelf-stable, retail-ready, and positioned to win in the fast-growing high-protein and gluten-free categories.
Grocery buyers, distributors, and press are invited to visit Booth 7103B-M to sample Boostcous and discuss wholesale opportunities throughout the show.
