Bioitalia Introduces Its Certified Organic Ready-to-Eat Mediterranean Meals to the US Market for the First Time at the Summer Fancy Food Show.
Most people don't reach for a convenience meal because they want to. They reach for it because dinner needs to happen in fifteen minutes and life doesn't slow down. For decades, the industry has answered that need with increasingly processed foods. Bioitalia is making the case that it never had to.
At the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, Bioitalia will introduce its certified organic ready-to-eat Mediterranean meal line to the US market for the first time. The launch brings a distinctly Southern Italian approach to convenience food: simple recipes, recognizable ingredients, and traditional cooking methods adapted for modern life.
The range includes Lentils with Pumpkin and Turmeric, Farro with Basil Pesto and Dried Tomato, Whole Grain Red Rice with Corn, Green Peas and Carrot, and Soup with Farro and Pulses. Made in Italy and certified organic, each recipe contains just five or six ingredients and is ready in under ninety seconds.
Five or six ingredients. Made in Italy. Ready in ninety seconds.
The ingredient list is short because it has to be. Built on whole grains, pulses, vegetables, and extra-virgin olive oil, the recipes contain no preservatives, no added sugar, and no unnecessary additives.
As the FDA prepares to release its long-awaited definition of ultra-processed food, and as regulators in California move to restrict UPFs in public school meals, the question of what convenience food should look like has never been more urgent. Bioitalia's ready-to-eat line is not a reformulation or a response to regulatory pressure. It is what the Di Costanzo family has been producing in Sarno, Campania for thirty years: simple food, grown well, handled honestly.
"People are looking for convenience, but they're also paying closer attention to ingredients than ever before. We've spent thirty years proving that ready-to-eat food can be simple, organic, and rooted in real culinary traditions. We're excited to finally bring that approach to the US market."
Fabio Di Lauro, CEO Bioitalia
The Mediterranean diet, actually made in the Mediterranean.
The Mediterranean diet is consistently ranked among the healthiest eating patterns in the world and remains one of the most widely recommended by nutrition professionals. It is also among the least represented in the convenience food aisle. Bioitalia's ready-to-eat line changes that. These meals are designed in the Southern Italian culinary tradition, sourced from certified organic farms across Italy, and produced in Southern Italy, one of the regions that informed Ancel Keys' pioneering research on what became known as the Mediterranean diet.
That is not a borrowed health halo. That is origin.
Every product is certified organic and backed by Bioitalia's blockchain traceability system, allowing consumers and retail partners to verify sourcing throughout the supply chain.
For retailers, the line offers a growing category intersection: organic, plant-forward, Mediterranean-inspired convenience meals with fully traceable sourcing.
At the show.
Bioitalia will be presenting its full US range at the Summer Fancy Food Show, Booth 2958, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York. Tastings will be available. The team will be on hand to discuss sourcing, production standards, and retail partnership opportunities.
Buyers and press are welcome.
