Domestic Gourmet Launches Its Shopify Store With Scratch-Made Latin Pantry Staples

Tampa Bay brand puts its annatto oil, adobo, sazón, and pasteles essentials in front of home cooks and specialty buyers nationwide

CLEARWATER, Fla. — Domestic Gourmet, a Tampa Bay pantry brand founded by executive chef Ciji Castro, has launched its new store on Shopify, bringing its scratch-made Latin staples to home cooks across the United States, including Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Every product in the lineup is made from scratch, in small batches, with 100% organic ingredients.

The collection begins with Annatto Oil (aceite de achiote), a ready-to-use ruby-red oil made with just two ingredients: organic high-oleic sunflower oil and organic annatto seeds. It delivers the warm color and earthy flavor essential to rice, sofrito, beans, and stews. 12 fl oz, $29.95.

Beside it stand the brand's seasoning staples. Sazón is an organic annatto-first blend that brings warm color and earthy flavor to rice, beans, stews, meats, and marinades. 2 oz, $14. Adobo is a savory all-purpose seasoning made with salt and organic garlic, onion, turmeric, cumin, oregano, and black pepper, built for chicken, pork, seafood, vegetables, beans, and rice. 5 oz, $14. The two are also sold together as the Adobo & Sazón Duo, $25.

For holiday and celebration cooking, the brand offers the Queen of Nochebuena Gift Box, which bundles the annatto oil, adobo, and sazón, $64.99, and the Pasteles Edition Box, $73.79, which adds pasteles wrapping paper and cotton butcher's twine to the trio, giving families everything needed for a pasteles-making day. The pasteles paper and twine are also available as a bundle, $15.79. Holiday orders close December 15.

Castro founded Domestic Gourmet to preserve the Cuban and Puerto Rican flavors of her family kitchen and pass them to the next generation of cooks. The brand has been featured in Forbes, Southern Living, and Centro Tampa Bay, and its products are available at shop.domesticgourmet.com. Wholesale buyers can find Domestic Gourmet on RangeMe.
