Woman-owned, MWBE-certified NYC brand launches Vanilla, Lemon, Cinnamon and Coconut ChinChin as it expands to more than 30 retailers across New York
NEW YORK, NY [October 27th, 2026] Nature's Best Snacks, an African-owned snack brand made in New York City, today announced the launch of four new flavors of its signature ChinChin Cookies: Vanilla, Lemon, Cinnamon and Coconut. The launch comes as the brand reaches more than 30 independent and specialty retailers across New York, including Brooklyn Fare, Foodtown Park Slope, H Mart, Lincoln Market, City Acres Market and Upstate Stock.
ChinChin is a beloved fried-dough snack enjoyed across West Africa, served at celebrations, family gatherings and holidays for generations. Nature's Best Snacks keeps the crunch and heritage of the original while giving it a modern twist: bite-sized, snackable cookie pieces in four bright flavors, made with simple ingredients and no preservatives, artificial flavors or artificial colors. Each 3 oz resealable pouch is sweet, savory and made in NYC.
A Snack Rooted in Home
Founded by Prisca Ndikum, Nature's Best Snacks is rooted in Cameroonian and West African culinary traditions. What began as family recipes made in a home kitchen has grown into a brand that brings authentic African snacks to the shelves of New York's neighborhood markets. Every batch is still made by Ndikum and her husband, with the same care that went into the snacks she grew up with.
“ChinChin was always the snack on the table when family came together,” said Prisca Ndikum, Founder & CEO of Nature's Best Snacks. “With these four flavors, we wanted to honor that tradition while inviting everyone to try it, whether they grew up with ChinChin or are tasting it for the first time. Seeing our bags on the shelves of more than 30 New York stores tells us people are ready for authentic African snacks.”
Our Mission and Vision
Mission: To share the authentic flavors of West Africa through wholesome, crunchy snacks made with simple ingredients, bringing the taste of home to the diaspora and introducing adventurous snackers to an African classic.
Vision: To become a leading African snack brand in America, found on store shelves nationwide, while celebrating culture, community and the women-owned businesses that make it.
The New ChinChin Lineup
- Vanilla: smooth and lightly sweet, a classic for every age.
- Lemon: bright and zesty, with a refreshing citrus finish.
- Cinnamon: warm and comforting, with a gentle spice.
- Coconut: tropical and toasty, a nod to West African kitchens.
All four flavors are available Starting November 20th at participating retailers and online at naturesbestsnacks.com, Amazon, and TikTok Shop. A full list of New York retail locations is included below.
