Los Angeles–based specialty food brand brings the traditional preserve beyond the breakfast table
LOS ANGELES, CA — September 2, 2026 — Nectar + Peel, a Los Angeles–based specialty food brand, announces the launch of its collection of premium whole-fruit preserves, handcrafted in small batches in Cyprus and created for cheese boards, desserts, beverages and contemporary food pairings.
Unlike conventional jams, Nectar + Peel preserves fruit whole or in generous pieces, maintaining its distinctive shape, texture and presentation. The collection includes fruits, citrus peels and less conventional ingredients such as whole walnuts, bergamot peel, tomatoes and green olives.
“A fig preserve should still look like a fig,” said founder Neo Melanthiou. “The fruit itself is part of the experience—its shape, its texture and the way it sits alongside cheese or finishes a dessert. I created Nectar + Peel to give preserves a more visible place at the table.”
Since entering the market, Nectar + Peel has gained placement in a growing selection of specialty food stores and cheese shops in California and across the United States.
