Award-Winning Cheesemaker Introduces New Brie, Marks Good Food Award Win, and Toasts Co-Owner Jill Giacomini Basch’s Induction into the SFA Hall of Fame 

Point Reyes Station, CA (June 26, 2026) Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. arrives at the Summer Fancy Food Show with more to celebrate than ever. From a new cheese to national award recognition to a landmark industry honor, the women-owned, multi-generational California creamery is making Booth #642 a destination at this year’s show at the Javits Center (June 28-30, New York City).  

A New Addition to the Family 

This year Point Reyes Cheese adds Brie to its lineup. Crafted with the same commitment to quality and craft that have defined the company for over 25 years, the new Brie joins a portfolio of cheeses beloved by home cooks, chefs, and specialty retailers. Stop by Booth #642 to taste it alongside their full collection. 

Fennel Blue Earns a Good Food Award 

Point Reyes Cheese’s Fennel Blue has been recognized with a 2026 Good Food Award, honoring the producers who meet the highest standards of craft and social responsibility. The company will be among the winners celebrated at a special ceremony on Saturday, June 27 in New York City, the evening before the Summer Fancy Food Show opens.  

On Sunday, June 28 (10:00 am-4:00 pm), Point Reyes Cheese will also participate in the Good Food Mercantile, co-located with the Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center’s River Pavilion. The Mercantile brings Good Food Qualified makers together with retailers, chefs, buyers and industry tastemakers for direct sampling and connection.  

Jill Giacomini Basch Inducted into the SFA Hall of Fame 

Co-Owner Jill Giacomini Basch has earned one of the specialty food industry's highest honors, named to the 2026 SFA Hall of Fame, part of the Association's annual Leadership Awards recognizing individuals who have shaped the specialty food market through vision, energy, and generosity.  

A special ceremony celebrating Jill and all the 2026 honorees is planned for Monday, June 29th at the Summer Fancy Food Show. Hosted by Dana Cowin, former Food & Wine editor-in-chief and founder of Progressive Hedonist, the event is open to all Summer Fancy Food Show badge holders.

Toast at the Booth: Laurent Perrier + Tsar Nicoulai Caviar 

To mark the occasion and celebrate an exciting partnership, Point Reyes Cheese invites show attendees to raise a glass at Booth #642 on Monday June 29 from 3:00-5:00 pm. The toast will feature Laurent Perrier Champagne alongside a special cheese bite paired with Tsar Nicoulai Caviar.
