New York City, NY Snow Fox Coffee has launched a cold brew membership program in New York City built around an uncommon approach to bottled coffee. Snow Fox cold brew is made exclusively with specialty-grade, single-origin coffee beans and maintains a controlled cold chain throughout production, storage, and delivery. The result is a cold brew concentrate containing only coffee and water, without preservatives or heat-based sterilization, delivered directly to customers throughout the city.
This model reflects Snow Fox Coffee’s broader philosophy towards coffee, centered on making intentional choices that improve quality, rather than optimizing for traditional approaches to retail distribution.
“Many of the challenges I faced in launching Snow Fox seemed overwhelming at first,” says founder Nathan Kotler. “However, my goal was never to build the easiest way to sell cold brew. My goal was to build a cold brew product I would be proud to drink every day.”
Snow Fox approaches each coffee as an Origin Study, aiming to understand its unique expression of flavor and character. Each Origin Study starts with a singular specialty-grade coffee and is roasted precisely to capture the qualities Snow Fox wants to express. After roasting, the coffee is steeped, filtered, bottled, and stored under cold conditions. Because Snow Fox Coffee does not use heat-based sterilization techniques, its cold brew has a refrigerated shelf life of just 30 days.
Maintaining this approach required Snow Fox to rethink how bottled cold brew reaches customers. Production and distribution are currently limited to New York City, allowing Snow Fox to maintain close control over the cold chain through final delivery. Snow Fox uses local courier services and direct Snow Fox delivery to keep transportation times limited.
To support the service, Snow Fox built its own logistics platform. Every member receives access to their Snow Fox Member Portal, which enables members to manage delivery windows, provide instructions, and communicate directly with Snow Fox.
“The cold brew membership is about more than just the coffee, it’s about delivering a high touch service to my members. Building our own logistics platform was necessary to accomplish this goal,” Kotler says.
Snow Fox Coffee’s cold brew membership is currently available in New York City. Snow Fox also delivers the whole bean coffee used to make the cold brew nationwide.
