Taste Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Six Countries

Explore EVA Certification Standards and +Factors

June 22, 2026, Neptune, NJ:  Discover what makes extra virgin olive oil distinctive through the stories, craftsmanship, and flavors behind products certified by the Extra Virgin Alliance (EVA). Currently, 41 olive oils carry EVA certification, and attendees at the Summer Fancy Food Show will have the opportunity to taste 28 of these.

EVA is the specialty olive oil section of the North American Olive Oil Association (NAOOA), the largest olive oil trade association in the United States. NAOOA represents over 60 companies from over 11 countries that produce, import, and market olive oils, ranging from small producers to major international brands, including over 15 companies representing California olive oils.

EVA certification is open to extra virgin olive oils from around the world produced and/or imported by NAOOA members that meet exceptional quality and packaging criteria and demonstrate measurable achievement in EVA’s “+Factor” metrics. The +Factors reflect commitment to excellence across three categories: The Oil, The Land, and The People, with stories to tell about responsible farming practices, environmental stewardship, best practices in production, transparency, social responsibility, and community engagement.

“We are excited about this opportunity to showcase exceptional extra virgin olive oils from both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres,” says EVA Director Alexandra Devarenne. “We invite attendees to visit our booth to experience some of these remarkable products, meet the people behind them, and explore the world of extra virgin olive oil."

The EVA pavilion style-booth will feature certified oils from six countries, including those produced by new NAOOA members and first-time EVA exhibitors Esporāo (Portugal), Pago de Peñarrubia (Spain) Rio Largo Olive Estate (South Africa) and Solara Estate (Argentina).

Extra Virgin Alliance (EVA), the specialty olive oil section of the North American Olive Oil Association, builds appreciation for exceptional extra virgin olive oils by highlighting producers who champion flavor, serve as responsible stewards of the land and honor tradition while innovating for the future. Founded in 2012 to celebrate and promote quality extra virgin olive oils from around the world, EVA merged with NAOOA in 2022. For 2026, EVA has certified 41 oils from 9 countries and 17 producers. The EVA seal signals to shoppers that the oil has met or exceeded our stringent requirements. Visit the EVA Product Directory for details.
