Curious Combinations to Debut at Summer Show

Specialty Food Association

Specialty food and beverage makers are innovating on flavor combinations. The following Summer Fancy Food Show exhibitors are fitting more flavors into already beloved product types.

Freshé is advancing its mission to bring healthy, flavorful dishes to the portable snack marketplace. The company will showcase the newest Barcelona Escalivada- and Moroccan Tagine-flavored salmon products packaged in ready-to-eat tins. The ingredients are primarily sourced from the Iberian Peninsula and are all-natural, sustainable, non-GMO, and gluten-free. Samples will be available at Booth 6611.

On the beverage side, Don Pablo Coffee Growers & Roasters of Burke Brands will introduce a new line of whiskey-infused coffee. The Colombia-grown coffee beans are directly soaked in one of three types of whiskey: Kentucky Bourbon, Irish Whiskey & Vanilla, and Canadian Whisky & Maple, rather than being left to age in whiskey barrels, as is typical with this type of beverage. Samples are available at Booth 6703.

Bringing a host of flavors to its two newest products, Daily Crunch, maker of sprouted nut snacks, will debut the Cinnamon Java Sprouted Nut Medley and Nashville Hot Sprouted Almonds for the first time at the Show. Both snacks are vegan, keto, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

“Our new flavors embody the belief that snacks CAN taste as good as they make you feel,” said Laurel Orley, CEO of Daily Crunch, in a statement. “Through our sprouting process, we soak almonds in coffee to give the Cinnamon Java flavor a next-level taste that consumers want. The Nashville Hot flavor delivers a sweet-heat taste that’s packed with protein. We’re proud to be introducing them at the Fancy Food Show.”
