Eggo, a Kellogg Company brand, has collaborated with Sugarlands Distilling Co. on a waffle-inspired liqueur called Eggo Brunch in a Jar Sippin' Cream. It is 20 percent alcohol by volume and is produced in Sugarlands’ Tennessee facility.
The liqueur incorporates the flavors of Eggo waffles, sweet maple syrup, butter, and bacon, according to Kellogg.
"Whether parents want to punch up a weekend brunch or savor some of those classic brunch flavors during their downtime, this feel-good Eggo-inspired liqueur is the perfect treat," said Joe Beauprez, senior director of marketing for frozen foods, at Kellogg Company, in a statement.
Last year, the duo partnered on another breakfast-inspired alcohol for the winter holiday season.
"Working with Eggo to bring Eggo Nog to life last year was a tremendous experience, so we're thrilled to partner with them again to create a brunch-inspired version of our Sippin' Cream, that parents can enjoy year-round," said Greg Eidam, master distiller at Sugarlands Distilling Co., in a statement.
This is the second morning-inspired offering to hit the market this month, following Dunkin’s debut of spiked Iced Coffees and Iced Teas.
