Food Lion To Go Continues Expansion

Specialty Food Association

Food Lion has announced the expansion of its Food Lion To Go grocery pick-up service to an additional 24 locations throughout North Carolina and Kentucky. The retailer hopes to continue its omnichannel strategy to meet shoppers opting to save time by ordering groceries online.

Customers can confirm availability and place orders through the Food Lion To Go website or app. Customers can choose same-day pickup when checking out, and once at the grocer, the items can be loaded directly into the customer’s car.

“Our customers have embraced the convenience of Food Lion to Go so we’re excited to expand this easier experience to even more customers so they can spend more time on what matters most to them,” said Evan Harding, director of digital and ecommerce at Food Lion, in a statement.

Food Lion continues to expand this service across areas in its footprint. With the addition of these 24 stores, Food Lion To Go is now available at more than 600 stores across ten states.

Where allowed by law, customers 21 and older can also purchase their beer and wine through the service.
