FreshDirect Elevates Women-Owned Brands

FreshDirect is highlighting several women-owned vendors this month for Women’s History Month.

“As we celebrate Women's History Month, FreshDirect…is excited to shine a spotlight on our exceptional women-owned vendor partners who have played a pivotal role in shaping the culinary landscape,” said FreshDirect in a statement.

Various female-owned brands and their diverse stories and missions are presented on a dedicated “Women’s Month” page on the FreshDirect website. Brands include:

White Moustache: A former attorney turned foodie, founder Homa Dashtaki emphasizes traditional production methods to make Persian yogurt, Greek yogurt, and labneh.

Brooklyn Delhi: Co-founders Chitra Agrawal and Ben Garthis specialize in offering Indian simmer sauces, chutneys, and achaars. Agrawal was featured on an episode of the SFA’s Spill & Dish podcast. Listen now.

Loi: Chef Maria Loi celebrates Greek culinary heritage by offering traditional Mediterranean offerings including tzatziki, eggplant dip, and sun-dried figs.
