Diane Hicks will join Giant Food as SVP of operations, effective mid-September of this year. Hicks will be responsible for strategic leadership, development, and execution of the grocer’s growth drivers.
Hicks returns to Giant Food with over 30 years experience working across Ahold Delhaize’s brands, the grocer’s parent company. Her most recent position was VP of operations at Stop & Shop, another Ahold Delhaize brand. In this position, she focused on leadership, operations excellence, creating a positive culture, profit and loss responsibility, and more.
Hicks worked at Giant Food for 12 years before moving to other parent company brands.

Hicks has worked in many positions in retail, including assistant store manager, store manager, sales manager, HR manager, district director, director of produce/floral sales and merchandising, director of center store sales and merchandising, and VP of sales and merchandising. She will leverage this experience in her new role.
