H-E-B to Open Texas Store

H-E-B announced Tuesday that its first multi-level store in Austin, Texas will open on February 15, 2023.

The 97,000-square-foot store in Lake Austin will feature a True Texas BBQ restaurant, with a full bar and indoor and outdoor seating; H-E-B’s SouthFlo Pizza restaurant; a coffee shop that will serve specialty coffee and handmade breakfast tacos; and H-E-B curbside pickup and home delivery services.

The location will also feature the following:

•  The company’s largest Dinner Tonight selection

•  Sushiya, offering hand-made sushi and hot, ready-to-eat selections

•  Fresh seafood

•  A meat market with Prime, natural, and organic meats, Wagyu, dry-aged beef, and fully cooked options

•  A craft beer and wine section with sampling station

•  A bakery featuring handmade artisan breads, cakes, and tortillas

•  A deli with an expansive cheese selection and charcuterie station

San Antonio-based Lake Flato Architects, the firm that also designed H-E-B Mueller Market, will introduce design elements that complement the neighborhood. It will also include environmental sustainability elements such as energy-efficient refrigeration with condensation capture for landscape irrigation as well as rooftop solar panels and EV chargers, which will be installed soon after the store opens.
