Natural Grocers, which offers a free nutrition education program including in-store nutritional health coaches, is expanding its community programming with the launch of its first-ever 21 Days to a Healthier You series. Classes are available in-person and virtually from January 24 to February 13, 2022.
The three-week series, each with an accompanying seven-day challenge, are developed by the company's nutrition education experts. Based on Natural Grocers' nutrition philosophy, the program focuses on the basics of wellness like cleaning up one's diet, achieving healthy blood sugar balance, and detoxifying the healthy way.
Customers who attend the in-person or live virtual series will receive a $5 coupon per class and a customized coupon book for Natural Grocers Brand products selected to support participants in accomplishing each challenge.
Natural Grocers health coaches recommend that classes be taken as a complete three-step series to help participants turn what they have learned into action:
• Step 1 – Eat for Health and Vitality (January 24 - 30): Nutritional Health Coaches will unpack what healthy eating means and provide insights into the foundational principles of building balanced and delicious meals. Participants will discover how to read food labels, the supplements that complement a healthy diet, and the importance of stress management and being active. Using the Natural Grocers Healthy Meal Wheel as a guide, they will create balanced meals to help maximize energy, and minimize cravings.
• Step 2 – Kick Sugar Cravings (January 31 - February 6): Maintaining healthy blood sugar levels can be achieved through diet, lifestyle, and supplements. Participants will learn the many ways that blood sugar impacts health and take the steps necessary to maintain healthy blood sugar levels by removing added sugars from the diet to support increased energy, a positive mood, and better sleep.
• Step 3 – Detoxify Your Life (February 7 - February 13): While there is no way to completely escape chemicals, there are two options that help mitigate their impact: Reduce exposure, and enhance the bodies' ability to detoxify them. Participants will discover the benefits of daily detoxification and how simple changes can make a big difference, such as replacing chemical-ladened house household and body care products with ones that are clean, transparent, and sustainable.
The grocer is offering three ways to attend: in-store; live virtual classes; and a weekly nationwide recording of each class.
