Jimmy Dean has launched two new sandwiches featuring a plant-based patty: Jimmy Dean Plant-Based Patty, Egg & Cheese Croissant Sandwich and Jimmy Dean Delights Plant-Based Patty & Frittata Sandwich.

“Plant-based foods are revolutionizing the way people eat across meal occasions, including breakfast,” said Scott Glenn, senior director of marketing, Jimmy Dean brand, in a statement. “As the protein breakfast leader, expanding our portfolio to provide people with alternative choices was critical. We also had to deliver the same signature flavor and quality people expect from the Jimmy Dean brand with our new sandwiches, and we’re excited for both our lifelong and new fans to try them.”

Babybel will introduce a new range of functional dairy snacks later this month, available in two varieties: Babybel Plus+ Probiotic, which contains billions of live and active cultures of the LGG probiotics strain, and Babybel Plus+ Vitamins, which provide a good source of vitamins A and B12.

“We’re excited to plus up the goodness of Babybel with an extension that offers families an easy way to get the added nutrients they are looking for in the same playful format they love,” said Melanie Nemoy, Babybel USA brand director, in a statement. “Both variants also provide a good source of calcium and protein, contributing further to the small ways consumers can support their overall wellness this year.”

Plant-based food company RollinGreens has launched a shelf-stable Taco Pack made with a plant-based ground meat alternative. One “pack” replaces one pound of beef and has 60 grams of pea protein.

“Up until today, our focus has primarily been on tasty frozen appetizers, but with food trends rapidly changing, convenience more important than ever, the need for more plant-based alternatives, and conscious consumption at an all-time high, our taco pack is a great solution,” said Ryan ‘Chef Ko’ Cunningham, co-founder of RollinGreens, in a statement. “Inspired by authentic Mexican flavors, we have created a delicious meat-free meal that the whole family can enjoy together regardless of their dietary requirements.”
