SFA Members Find Shelf Placement, Get Certified, Win Awards

Specialty Food Association members have expanded their distribution, gained certifications, and won awards in recent months.

Hy-Vee recently stocked Whoa Dough’s Ready-to-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Sugar Cookie Dough at all 285 locations across eight Midwestern states. An allergen-friendly snack, the products are gluten-free, vegan, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free, dairy-free, OU Kosher, and Non-GMO Project Verified.

“We created our Ready-To-Bake Cookie Dough with a life balance in mind, allowing you to enjoy an indulgent treat while actively working to live a healthy lifestyle,” said Todd Goldstein, Whoa Dough founder, in a statement. “Our products are a perfect fit for Hy-Vee stores because the company is committed to providing more natural and organic products for its customers.”

African Dream Foods, maker of African hot sauces and seasonings, shared Monday that its portfolio of eight sauces, three spicy salts, and one smoky seasoning has been Non-GMO Project Verified.

Dillon’s Candy Company, retailer and maker of nut and fruit candies, recently revealed that it has won Best of Georgia 2023 in the Candy Stores category. The brand shared that the achievement highlights its commitment to its community.
