Summer Show Exhibitors to Present Vegan Eats

Specialty Food Association

Food makers will showcase healthy, accessible, and fun vegan foods at next week's Summer Fancy Food Show. The Greater Knead will debut its line of vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and allergen-free Pretzel Nuggets that meet all three criteria. Available for sampling at Booth 7448, the nuggets come in Classic, Cinnamon Sugar, Everything, and Spicy Buffalo flavors.

Founded with the goal of creating better-tasting “free-from” nostalgic foods, like pretzels, bagels, and chips, The Greater Knead has revitalized the packaging to better communicate its mission.

“With the addition of new eye-catching photography and bolder graphics, our refreshed packaging better captures the unique texture, taste, and variety of our products and highlights our flavors and certifications even more prominently,” said The Greater Knead CEO and founder Michelle Carfagno, in a statement.

Carl Brandt will introduce its newest Mestemacher All-Natural Vegan Bread at the Show, which, like The Greater Knead’s Pretzel Nuggets, are non-GMO. Mestemacher is a German bakery brand, and its newest products are made without flour or yeast. The bread is made from whole meal oat and select seeds, and the high-temperature pasteurization process makes it self-stable without the need for preservatives.

Shiitake mushrooms are the center stage of Popadelics’ line of chips in Trippin’ Truffle Parm, Twisted Thai Chili, and Rad Rosemary and Salt Mushroom Chips flavors.

“Our goal is to revolutionize the way people think about mushrooms,” said Marilyn Yang, co-founder and CEO of Fun-Gal Snacks, the parent company of Popadelics, in a statement. “We can’t wait for attendees to experience the trippin’ flavor and killer crunch of Popadelics Crunchy Mushroom Chips.”
