Target to Increase Baby Formula Access

Specialty Food Association

Target has announced a partnership with the federal government and Kendamil, a U.K.-based baby formula brand, in the third Biden-led process called Operation Fly Formula Mission. The initiative allows United Airlines to air ship about 3.7 million bottles of Kendamil infant formula from London to U.S. airports across the country.

Starting after June 9, Target stores will receive shipments of the formula; however, purchase limits of 4 units per transaction will remain in place to ensure maximum supply reach. Included in the first shipment are the Kendamil Classic and Kendamil Organic formula products.

Kendamil has pledged to export up to 54 million bottle-equivalents, or 2 million cans, of instant formula to the U.S.
