Thrive Market has opened its third fulfillment center, reports Progressive Grocer. The 458,000-square-foot location in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania was built in partnership with NorthPoint Development.
According to Thrive Market, this facility will be able to increase its one-day carbon-neutral shipping coverage within the continental U.S., primarily on the East Coast. Thrive Market’s other fulfillment centers are located in Sparks, Nevada and Batesville, Indiana.
Thrive Market keeps its shipping carbon-neutral by working with Carbonfund.org and purchasing carbon offset credits. Since 2018, the company has been 90 percent zero waste across its fulfillment network and this new center aligns with its efforts to become the world’s first climate-positive grocery store.
