Wakefern Launches Delivery Tracking

Retailer-owned cooperative Wakefern Food Corp. debuted on Monday live tracking for the delivery of online grocery orders. The technology is currently available at more than 200 ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer locations.

The live tracking feature is a platform offered by Delivery Solutions that provides live order tracking and updates for online shoppers using home delivery. Customers can also use the feature to pinpoint home delivery times.

The feature updates the customer on the status of the delivery by messaging when the order is out for delivery and has been delivered.

"Our customers rely on us to provide them with the highest level of service and convenience, and our live tracking page is another example of how we are fulfilling that commitment," said Elizabeth Goodbread, Wakefern’s director of digital commerce and analytics, in a statement. "We are proud to work with Delivery Solutions to leverage this technology and enhance our online shopping service at ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer stores."

The technology also offers customers the ability to provide feedback on their delivery experience in a survey.
