Walmart will carry food maker and social media influencer Chef Pii's viral TikTok Pink Sauce in an exclusive deal through July. Dave's Gourmet, a pasta and hot sauce company, partnered with Chef Pii to help bring her viral TikTok Pink Sauce to the commercial market.
Chef Pii attempted to launch her creation in 2022, selling out of initial stock in days. However, a lack of commercial food production knowledge led to significant obstacles. Dave's Gourmet discovered this situation and formed a partnership where it assumed responsibility as the exclusive supplier and distributor of her condiment, according to Dave's Gourmet.
The product and Chef Pii have been featured by many prominent media sources since June and the public is interested in its peculiar look and ingredients, amassing over 154 million views on TikTok, and two million on Instagram. The hashtag #pinksauce also has over 500 million views on TikTok.
The sauce is vegan and gluten-free and incorporates flavors like dragon fruit and coconut. It will be available in over 4,300 Walmart locations beginning mid-January.
